MCC Moves to Remote Operations Due to Snow Storm


MCC Spring Snow Storm

Effective Tuesday, April 12 at 5:00 pm, Miles Community College (MCC) will move to remote operations in response to current and predicted weather forecasted through Thursday. The MCC Campus will resume normal hours of operation on Monday, April 18. (Friday, April 15 was a previously scheduled campus holiday, and the campus will remain closed for the day.)

During this time, classes and coursework will be conducted online. MCC Students are being instructed to check their CANVAS school accounts for updates regarding class requirements for the remainder of the week. Faculty will communicate with students on class expectations during these remote operations.

Campus offices and public buildings on campus will be closed during this time, with limited services available. Students will be able to access the cafeteria and must use the exterior doors to enter. Breakfast will not be available through Campus Dining, while lunch will be served from 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm and dinner served from 5:00 pm- 6:00 pm both Wednesday and Thursday. The cafeteria will be closed for the regularly scheduled holiday on Friday.

Both MCC Pioneer Baseball and Softball games have been canceled for the weekend. The MCC College Rodeo, scheduled for Friday and Saturday at the Ag Advancement Center, has not been canceled at this time and further updates will be available via the school’s websites and Facebook pages.

Current updates are available on the college website at www.milescc.edu as well as the Miles Community College Facebook page. Students can also find current information on their CANVAS school accounts as well as the school’s emergency text message system.
