The Associated Students of Miles Community College (ASMCC) will be holding a canned food drive collection, complete with prizes. As the college governing student body, ASMCC will be hosting this community event by collecting non-perishable food items at the first home basketball games on Tuesday, November 2. The collection will be open for both the women’s and men’s home openers that night, with the MCC Women’s Pioneer team tipping off at 5:00pm, and the Men’s Pioneer team beginning at 7:00pm.
Participants who donate two or more canned goods during the games will be entered into a drawing for a giveaway of prizes including Hydroflask water bottles, food containers, gift certificates, and more. Winners will be announced after the games and will be contacted via the contact information submitted when donating.
Food donations will be distributed to both the Custer County Food Bank in Miles City and the MCC Pioneer Pantry, located on the college campus. The Pioneer Pantry is available to MCC students and hosts a variety of collected complimentary food and pantry items available to all students as needed.
MCC will continue to collect canned goods following the basketball games, with a collection box available near the Student Services office in Lucas Hall on campus.
