Miles Community College students honored with Youth Serve Montana Scholarship

Haylee Fauth and Haylee Nieman are both recent recipients of the $1,000 Youth Serve Montana Scholarship. This scholarship honors 100 incoming college freshman each year who have been outstanding community service volunteers throughout their high school careers. This scholarship is given through a partnership between Montana Campus Compact, the Governor’s Office of Community Service and Reach Higher Montana.

 

Haylee Fauth

 

Haylee Fauth graduated from Opheim High School in Opheim, MT. During her high school career she participated in National Honor Society and was the Opheim School Assistant Coach. Haylee also volunteered for the Red Cross and was a local library volunteer. Haylee also volunteered her time as an event vocalist and a music tutor. All together, Haylee accumulated 125 service hours to her local community.

 

Haylee Nieman

 

Haylee Nieman graduated from Shelby High School in Shelby, MT. During this time, she volunteered for the Alzheimer’s Association, Shelby School local business activities, garden club and the Shelby Elks Club. Haylee also volunteered her time to attend a Medicare seminar. In total, Haylee had 177 hours of community service during her high school career.

Miles Community College is proud of these two students and would like to welcome them and all students back to campus for the fall semester.

MCC fall classes will begin September 5, 2018.
