Miles Community College head baseball coach Jeff Brabant has announced that Lewis Johnson from Evans Head, NSW, Australia will be joining the Pioneers for the 2018-2019 season.

Johnson is the son of Nick & Donna Johnson. He attended Kadina High School and graduated in 2013.
On the baseball diamond, Johnson is a 5 time North Coast baseball representative (2009-2013) as a catcher and a 5x North Coast softball representative (2009-2013) as a Utility player.
While at MCC, Lewis work towards his ultimate goal of an Exercise Science degree.
Johnson on choosing MCC: “I’ve heard nothing but great things about Miles Community College from multiple Australians that have attended there. After being offered the chance to play baseball while furthering my education, I accepted straight away. I’m looking forward to becoming a part of the great program at MCC.”
Coach Brabant on Johnson: "Lewis is another in a great line of Australians in our program. He is physical, mature and has a phenomenal work ethic. We expect Lewis to come right in and compete for a spot in our lineup and be an everyday guy for us. We are excited to get another great athlete from Australia, especially with the success we've had with our current and former players from 'down under."
