| ROCKS |
The ROCKS program is a Youth Development program that is
available to any child in the community between the ages of 6
and 12 years old. Daily transportation from all schools is
provided. ROCKS offers daily physical activities, nutritionally
balanced snacks, homework help, computer time, arts and crafts
projects, fields trips, and prevention presentations. The ROCKS
program is a state-licensed facility and offers qualifying
families help with tuition and a sliding fee scale. The hours of
the program are: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 3-6 p.m.
and Wednesday, 2-6 p.m.
The ROCKS Program offers a quality program during the summer
months also. The ROCKS Summer Recreation Program is an 8 week
program that covers a 6 hour day with a hot lunch that is served
for the community. Ages 0-18 eat free and adults are charged a
small fee. The Summer ROCKS Program features segments of
Music/Choreography, Foreign Language,
Conditioning/Concentration, Arts/Crafts, Structured Games,
Prevention Presentations, Field Trips, Game tables, and
Computers time. The staff mentors children through all these
segments and offers the children a fun and safe place to meet
other children.
